VERSE – Generative Music Boxes

I wrote VERSE between December 2009 and January 2010 as an algorithm for music boxes that would generate new melodies every time the boxes got opened. This algorithm consisted of a few fundamental constants that could be changed in order to produce more or less complex melodies.

I recorded multiple melodic outcomes of the algorithm, some of which I share here below.
